It brought back memories and feelings that I didn’t think I’d ever end up remembering. Hearing songs performed from different points in my life made me reminisce. We change, people around us change, and the music we listen to might change a bit but Aminé surely did not change for me. With TWOPOINTFIVE releasing toward the end of 2021, it made me realize that as time progresses so many things change. As time progressed and I graduated into a pandemic, Limbo had released and came to be one of the albums that carried me through that troubling time we all experienced. I can recall listening to Aminé’s earlier releases, Good For You and ONEPOINTFIVE in my college years, not knowing where I was headed or what direction my life would take. The most memorable moment from this show for me was hearing the track Charmander, off Aminé’s newest project, TWOPOINTFIVE. Produced by Live Nation, the 35-date tour kicks off on Saturday, January 29th with his biggest hometown performance to date at Theater of The Clouds in Portland, OR and makes stops across North America in Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Toronto, New York and more before wrapping up in Vancouver, BC at PNE Forum on Monday, March 28th. The setlist on this tour offered a great mix of songs, spanning throughout Aminé’s entire discography. Regardless of whether you’re a fan of Aminé’s earlier or newer projects, you will be immensely satisfied with the setlist, set design, and overall performance on this tour. With the recent release of Aminé’s TWOPOINTFIVE and fans (such as myself) still riding the wave of his 2020 release Limbo, this tour was gearing up to be one to remember. Since the tour was announced in November 2021, my anticipation grew as the days went by. He released his debut studio album Good for You, on July 28, 2017, his second major project, ONEPOINTFIVE on August 15, 2018, Limbo on August 7, 2020, and his latest, TWOPOINTFIVE on November 5, 2021. Aminé’s Best Tour Ever Tour finally made its way through Charlotte, North Carolina, and it did not disappoint. Amin is a rapper and singer-songwriter who first came to prominence after the release of his single, Caroline, in 2016.
